Why not just one subscription?

Because a notebook you open once a month shouldn't cost you a recurring decision every month. Offline is free because the local version costs us nothing to keep running. The Starter Kit and Lifetime are one-time because some people never want a server involved at all. Cloud and Cloud+ exist for the rest — sync is a real cost, so it's priced like one, not bundled into a number that pretends it's free.

Every paid tier starts with a 60-day free trial — not the usual week or two. The whole point of a monthly notebook is the second entry, when the first chart line appears. A shorter trial shows you one dot and asks you to decide anyway.

Fair questions, money edition

Per device, or per person?

Per person. Install it on your laptop and your phone — that's still one notebook, one owner.

Will the price go up?

Maybe, for new buyers, as the product grows. If you've already bought a tier, your price doesn't change under you.

Is there a student or hardship price?

Write to us and pay what you can — see the Privacy page for the contact address.

What does "money back" involve?

An email. Ask within the first month of a one-time purchase and it's refunded — no form, no retention pitch.

Start free. Upgrade only if you want to.

The Offline tier costs nothing, forever. Every paid tier gives you a long, honest trial before you pay anything — no card required to try it.
